Something for Everyone: Prayer Covering

Whether we are pastors, Christian leaders or just believers, we know one thing for certain. When all else fails, nothing seems to work, our message is falling on deaf ears, our programs are just that – programs, when we see no fruits being born for our labors and we hit a spiritual wall, we know that we can turn to the one source that will help us – our Savior.

But it seems that we haven’t been turning to Him, often enough. Our nation is a moral disgrace. Christianity is declining and we are turning to and believing in our own pathetic selves and the idiotic ‘world view.’ We are working ‘our’ plans, not ‘His’ plans and it shows. Our Christian forefathers would be ‘spinning in their graves’ if they knew that almost ¼ of our states are considered spiritually dark with less than 10% of the people worshipping the one and only true God – with some states as low as 2%!

It is reported that one of the old time prophets had calluses on his knees, because he spent so much time in prayer. God hears all prayers, whether they come from someone on their knees or from the ‘feet on the street.’ I want to challenge you, young and old, new Christian or seasoned Christian, introverted or extroverted, ready-to-go or reluctant, ‘church people - pastor, deacon, choir director, missions minister, ushers, encouragers and counselors,’ people from all four corners of our country - Maine, Florida, California, Washington and all states in between to join me, my family and all the Experiencing God Through Missions Inc missionaries traveling to Wyoming. For just two short weeks, let’s get ‘blisters on our feet,’ from being God’s ‘feet on the street’ as we cover the entire state with fervent prayer. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do a prayer covering. Trust in Jesus. He will show us the ‘den of iniquities’ that needs our prayers. He will show us where He is working so that we can give Him praise. 264 cities, towns, communities; hundreds of houses of worship; dozens of tourist attractions and 450,000 lost people needs our on-site prayers!

Make the commitment. Make the sacrifice. Maybe it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Don’t miss out. The evil one is stealing enough souls – let’s stop him in his tracks. We can’t do it. Jesus can. But, we have to humble ourselves before Him, admit our failures and shortcomings. We need to cry out to Him before we go to Wyoming and all the time we are in Wyoming, covering every foot of the state with prayer. Jesus will take our prayers directly to the Father. He will work in people’s hearts. And, we will see His bountiful harvest.

The state of Wyoming has had effective prayer coverings in the past, but satan has such a strong foothold – they need much more! It’s up to us! The Wyoming Christians are fighting hard.
