Widows Mite
As He stood in the temple, He was watching the rich tossing their gifts into the collection box. Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small copper coins. “Really,” He remarked, “this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them combined. For they have given a little of what they didn’t need, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.” Luke 21:1-4
The Living Bible Many times, this ministry gets financial gifts with notes attached, apologizing that the gift is not larger. Please don’t apologize! All financial gifts are important. Some people have an abundance of financial resources. Others, such as the widow, have little. Giving from your heart to support His work, is the most important. Always give, what He puts on your heart to give and He will bless you and the gift!
Even though financial gifts are given all year long, year end giving is extremely important to both the giver and Experiencing God Through Missions Inc (EGTMInc). For the giver, if your gift is received or postmarked on December 31, 2008 it will qualify as a tax deduction for 2008. Your giving statement, showing your total giving for 2008 will be mailed in January.
For EGTMInc, your year end financial gifts will be a great asset as we plan for 2009 and determine how much ministry we can do for the year. As our regular Newsletter readers know, we feel that God wants us to reach into Wyoming and touch the souls of over 50,000 people. Your gifts will be extremely important as we begin purchasing the necessary materials.
Make your checks to Experiencing God Through Missions Inc, Attention: Financial Gifts Ministry and mail to the address on the bottom of this Newsletter. Or click here to provide a gift using your credit card.
IMPORTANT! The $2500 matching Pledge Challenge sponsor is still holding onto their $2500 just waiting of us to finish raising the matching amount. Your gift can help us claim this much needed matching gift.
