The Nehemiah Story – Part One
When newcomers first hear the Experiencing God Through Missions (EGTMInc) story, even though they might not say it out loud, their first thought is “you are different.” They are correct. EGTMInc is different. We don’t do ministry like Disaster Relief does, nor do we do ministry like Samaritans Purse, or any other ministry that we know. The reason we don’t is simple. The other ministries are doing their ‘thing’, the way God called them. Since they are doing a good job, why would God need another ministry just like them? EGTMInc is doing our ‘thing’ the way God called us to do our ministry. In the Old & New Testaments are hundreds of examples of ministries. No two are alike.
Every ministry reaches a different segment of the lost, using a different manner or message. Very seldom do any of the ministries cross paths. But when they do, it’s God’s plan because he knows who the lost are and what they need to bring them to a saving relationship with Him.
Over the next few issues of the Weekly Newsletter, it is our intention of sharing with you, how the EGTMInc ministry works. Even though it wasn’t planned as such, the EGTMInc ministry is similar to the Nehemiah ministry as he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem.
Henry Blackaby (Experiencing God Study) taught us that God is always at work around us and when He reveals to us where He is working that is our invitation to join Him. 2500 years before this, God was already using this plan to get Jerusalem ready for Jesus and He used Ezra and Nehemiah.
