First Car Wash a Huge Success
What started out as a fund raiser for Wyoming Mission 2009 turned into a ministry! Business was brisk when the ladies stood on the corner holding up the signs. After Conrad Goss and Bryan Jackson decided they could do better, we noticed a dramatic slump in business! But, in spite of the ‘slump,’ over $350 was raised for WYM2009 and we got to wash the Ice Cream Truck and a Honeymoon Car!

Thank You to Advance Auto Parts at intersection of Hendersonville Road and Long Shoals Road for donating the space and most of the car washing supplies! Really big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the planning, organization and labor to wash the cars. (Conrad your pressure washer was a blessing and Rhoda your cookies were great – as usual!) Another Thank You to those that brought your cars and trucks by for a wash and made such wonderful donations. (We had at least one person who came by and made a donation even though he didn’t need his car washed!)
Even though we were focused on washing cars to earn money for WYM2009, God showed us that this would be a great opportunity to witness. Our next to last customer drove in at 2:00pm just as we were getting ready to close. Bryan struck up a conversation and learned that he was getting married at 3pm! Everyone joined hands, formed a circle, and Bryan prayed a wonderful prayer asking God to use this couple and give them a wonderful life in Him and he drove away in a sparkling honeymoon car! Okay God, we get the message. From now on our commitment will be to ‘witness while washing.’
