Wyoming Mission 2009 Plans Outlined

In Wyoming there are 444,000 people that will die and go to hell, unless the Christians in Wyoming are encouraged to share their faith! During a two week period in July of 2009, the Wyoming Mission 2009 team are going to be their encouragers.

Experiencing God Through Missions does not minister alone. We work in partnership with all conservative evangelical churches & associational missionaries to help them pierce the spiritual darkness.

Prayer Walking

Piercing the darkness starts with prayer. Prayer for Wyoming Mission 2009 is underway. Our Praying the Darkness Away team is praying that the Holy Spirit will soften hearts, volunteers will be encouraged and that a powerful shield will be placed around this entire mission project to protect it from satanic forces.

We are asking that prayer warriors from all over the United States join with us in July of 2009 in Wyoming to pray in each of the 264 cities, towns and communities. They will help us go into the churches and places of worship and cover them with prayer, so they will be protected and encouraged.

Evangelism Training for Adults and Children

Spiritual darkness can not be displaced in just two weeks. It’s an on going process. We must leave behind Christians that are encouraged and equipped to continue God’s work long after we are gone.

We have established the goal that our Share Your Faith Team will conduct a workshop in each of the 23 Wyoming counties to teach adult Christians how to use the fingers of one hand to lead anyone to a lifesaving faith in Christ.

85% of all Christians accept Christ before the age of 14. But over 40 million children in North America have not yet heard the Gospel! Kids are more likely to share the Gospel than adults, when they have a fun way to do it.

Wyoming Mission 2009’a goal is to teach 400 kids to share their faith using the Evangelism Explosion kid’s cube. When the kids finish their training, they get to take the cube home. With about an hour of encouragement, kids as young as 4 and as old as 12 can learn a fun way to tell others about Jesus. This training can be part of a Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Study or a stand alone program.

Large Scale Outreach – A Free Gift

Okay, that reaches a few people, but what about all the others. Well, we could handout thousands of gospel tracts. But what if we gave them a free gift instead. Something they need and won’t throw away. Something they will use at least 4 times a year. And every time they use it, they will be exposed to a Gospel presentation.

We proposed to give away 50,000 packs of light bulbs all across Wyoming. Everyone needs light bulbs. Typically, 4 light bulbs will last a year. These packs of light bulbs will have a special attachment. It is a simple but powerful Gospel tract.
Also attached will be a postage paid return card. The recipient can answer a couple simple questions, tear off the card and drops it in the mail. When our office receives the cards, they are sent to one of our partnership churches for follow up.

These evangelism efforts, coupled with the efforts of the churches and associations will bring many to Christ. We must be prepared by having a safe and comfortable place for them to worship.

New Construction

Our Blessed Hands Building Team is ready and willing. For 2009, they are committed to aid the members of Aqua Viva in Rock Springs and Granger Baptist in Granger to increase their sanctuary space by 2,000 square feet.

To Go Boldly

Acts 14 verse 3 tells us that “Paul and Barnabas spoke BOLDLY for the Lord, who confirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.”

I believe, that with your help, God will reveal His awesome love during Wyoming Mission 2009. But, we will need your help. Both during the two weeks in Wyoming and in all the pre-mission work here in North Carolina and surrounding states.
